Procedure:

  1. Incoming meggar windings (fail: work stop)

  2. Check shaft run out and record

  3. Dismantle

  4. Test stator windings (visual, meggar, surge)

  5. Inspect stator leads and lugs

  6. Bearing housing visual and fit test.  Shaft journals visual

  7. Install new bearings

  8. Dynamic balance of rotor 2 pole only**

  9. Assembling complete unit

  10. Meggar and test run

  11. No load current measurement recorded

  12. Record test results

  13. Paint, only if required

Inspection & certification for CSA approved explosion proof motors

90 days on workmanship – refer to EASA Warranty Procedure.

180 days on workmanship – if installed by GPR professionals.
