Field Service
GPR Industries realizes how important it is to keep your operation up and running smoothly. Sometimes you can’t come to us, so we’ll come to you. We have nine distinct services to ensure that your business stays on top of operations and minimizes down time. Randy Erickson, Service Manager and a Journeyman EMST with 22 years experience with GPR, will work with you to determine a cost effective and efficient turn around.
Electric Motor Field Service
When time or the expense of removing your electric motor doesn’t allow it to come in for service, we have Journeyman Electric Motor System Technicians, Millwrights and Electricians to accomplish testing and/or repairs in the field including bearing changes and motor efficiency testing. We can also remove and replace the motor for you, providing picker service as required. Preventive Maintenance of Babbitt bearing motors is another of our specialized services.
Maintenance Shutdown Service
We have field crews available to assist or complete the entire project for your Maintenance Shutdown’s. We have Millwright’s and Electric Motor Technicians for inspection, servicing, electrical testing, bearing changes, laser alignment or removal and replacements. We can also provide lubrication technicians and clean up crews.
Asset Management
GPR can provide experienced support to document, review and recommend maintenance intervals, identify critical spare motors, store and maintain your spare motors and even disperse your unwanted motors and or generators.
Power Generation Field Service
5,000 hour and 10,000 hour Preventive Maintenance Packages have proven successful and cost effective to our many Prime Power customers. Additionally we have professionally equipped Field Service Trucks ready to tackle everything from planned generator maintenance to emergency shutdown repairs of your generators.
Electrical Testing

Infrared Thermography
GPR utilizes state of the art technology with infrared cameras and software that allows us to determine any possible overheating problems in electrical apparatus and machinery. With this we can catch any problem before it becomes serious. We also offer heat loss and water damage analysis for your business.
Oil Analysis
Oil Analysis is another way that we can detect early indications of problems before they become serious. An effective oil lubrication analysis can help us find unseen corrosion and wear and is an economical step in keeping your equipment running in top condition.
Vibration Analysis
Unscheduled downtime may cost you thousands of dollars per hour. Our Vibration Analysis Program can evaluate the condition of your equipment which can save you money. The Benefit of our Vibration Analysis Program is that it can determine if your equipment is running within specification and avoid failures by recognizing and advising you of conditions that will reduce your equipment life. Our sophisticated Vibration Analysis Program can also predict developing problems before they affect your process. GPR can inform you when a bearing fault, looseness or electric motor rotor bar fault develops and then assist your planning department in the critical timing of repair before it shuts you down.
Laser Alignment
Sometimes even the slightest misalignment can mean a big loss in efficiency and/or production. GPR industries can provide professional laser alignment for direct drive or belt drive applications. Not only will this save you from production downtime, it will minimize your energy loss and increase bearing and seal life – saving you time and money.
